Parris Lawn Care Home Plant a Tree for the Jubilee
After a wonderfully royal month, it was time for the residents and team at Parris Lawn Care Home to 'Plant a Tree for the Jubilee'.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, trees are being planted across the UK to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and at Parris Lawn Care Home we have got involved and are proud to be supporting the Queen's Green Canopy Project. This is a unique tree planting initiative and we chose a beautiful Wisteria Brakybotrys tree ('Ikoyama Fuji') which was planted in the home's grounds and then marked with an official royal commemorative plaque.
Home Manager Jackie Cox said, “Everyone at the home enjoyed the opportunity to mark such a wonderful occasion and get involved in the initiative.”
Everyone at the home is looking forward to seeing their new addition grow over the coming years!
