Queen’s baton passes Beechwood Park

The residents of Beechwood Park in New Sauchie were out in force this week to cheer on the Queen’s baton as it continued its journey to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Each of the residents also had the opportunity to hold the baton, which is travelling the length and breadth of Scotland in the countdown to the Games.

With up to 4,000 batonbearers joining the relay in more than 400 communities, this is Scotland’s biggest ever relay and the Beechwood Park contingent were thrilled to be part of the historic occasion.

Located at the heart of New Sauchie, Beechwood Park is a care home providing specialist nursing and dementia care.
