Residents delight at Mayor’s visit
Councillor Adrian Knowles, Wandsworth Mayor recently attended an entertaining afternoon at The Pines Care Home on West Hill.
Cllr. Knowles joined the residents of the period property for afternoon tea and a traditional sing a long to tunes from yesteryear with Grace, one of the home’s regular entertainers.
As well as being given a tour of the home by Home Manager Sarie Kolbe, Cllr. Knowles took time to speak to residents about their everyday lives and activities, including Jonty, the home’s dog, who stole the day with the Mayor being a big dog lover.
During his visit Cllr. Knowles had the opportunity to chat with members of the care team, who took him through the range of therapeutic activities on offer at The Pines.
Sarie Kolbe, The Pines Manager said:
“Everyone at The Pines was very proud to welcome our local Mayor to the home and show him our fantastic care facilities. I want to say a big thank you to Cllr. Knowles on behalf of our residents and staff for making this such a special day.
It was lovely for us all to have the chance to meet Cllr. Knowles and tell him about the events we run with the local community; he was very interested in the range of activities that we offer our residents.”
Located in vibrant Putney, The Pines provides residential and nursing care for up to 43 elderly residents. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group.
