Residents’ flower arranging flourishes at Mellish House

9th February 2015

Spring came early at Mellish House this week as the residents enjoyed a spot of flower arranging facilitated by the local Flower Club.

Brenda Graham from Sudbury Flower Club helped the residents to make a beautiful array of displays from Mellish House’s garden and the generous donations from the local Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Everyone was very proud of their achievements, especially resident Grace Tester who commented ‘I love this and look forward to it all week’. Such is the popularity of the activity, that the volunteers have even offered to visit the Suffolk home more regularly.

Situated in the quiet village of Great Cornard, Mellish House is a purpose built home providing residential care for up to 48 elderly people living with a form of dementia.
