Residents Treated To Memorable Nativity Play At Hillside Care Home
Hillside Care Home residents were treated to a delightful surprise as the team transformed the Home into a stage for a heartwarming Christmas Nativity. The dazzling performance was the result of the residents' request for more plays and theatrics during a meeting in November.
Wellbeing Coordinators, Kate Boggis and Jemma Rye, got together and leapt at the chance to take the lead in organising the event on 16th December, the Home welcomed not only residents, but also their families who were eager to witness the festive spectacle.
Hillside Team Go Above and Beyond
Led by Jemma Rye, the team delivered a charming nativity play filled with laughter and joy. The performance had a unique twist as the actors added a comedic touch by occasionally 'missing cues' or 'forgetting lines'. Residents were thoroughly entertained, with many expressing that it was one of the funniest shows they had ever seen.
Evelyn, a resident, shared her thoughts: "It was really good, and it's great that the team did this for us and weren't worried about looking daft."
Beryl chimed in, expressing her anticipation for the next performance, emphasising the residents' appreciation for the team's willingness to go above and beyond to create memorable moments.
Hillside Care Home continues to prioritise resident-led activities, maintaining an environment where laughter, joy, and connection are at the heart of the care experience.
