Royal Celebrations at Whittington

Saturday 19^th May marked a very special occasion for everyone at Whittington House in Cheltenham, and in fact the UK, the eagerly anticipated Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.The minute the television broadcast started the residents were there to soak up the atmosphere. A few gathered in the lounge, others relaxed in the garden making the most of the glorious sunshine while some were too excited to leave their rooms!Each of the dining rooms had the tables laid with red white and blue table cloths and Union Jack flags with Harry and Meghan’s photo too. The residents raised a glass to the happy couple over lunch and were chatting the whole time about the wonderful service.The afternoon celebrations began with the Residents and their families enjoying a glass of Pimm’s in the Garden Bar. Afternoon tea of scones jam and cream were later served in the garden which went down a treat.
