Sanford celebrate Macmillan coffee morning

All the residents, families and care team at Sanford House in East Dereham, Norwich, held a Macmillan Coffee Morning in aid of raising money for Macmillan Cancer Care.The residents had a great time getting ready for the day and Carer Tasmin baked a cake as a prize for the Guess the Number of Spots on the Cake competition. The home was decorated with bunting and the all the goodies supplied by Macmillan, with tables full of cakes.To raise money the cakes and coffee were sold on the day, and there was an extremely popular tombola. Relatives also set up and extra craft stall for the day selling crafts they had made for the day.Activities organiser Diane Harrison and carer Jackie Norton put in lots of hard work organising the day, and it really paid off as the home raised £200 for this worthy cause!Days like today are great for the residents, as it provides a sense of purpose, giving back to the community and helping others.
