Sanford House Administrator Gets His Running Shoes on for Comic Relief
This year, for Red Nose Day, Sanford House administrator, Michael raised money by running one mile every hour, on the hour for 8hours straight. Each time he will be sporting a different red nose that he has collected, there were 8 new ones issued this year and he’ll start running at 8am.
8 hours, 8 miles, 8 noses!
Michael managed to find some of his old red noses, that are now older than his children – if anyone can remember, these really used to hurt, but it’s all for a good cause. Michael completed his runs and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated.
He had this to say: “The day went well, although I did underestimate the effect of wearing a red nose on my breathing when running. Nevertheless, I completed a mile at 8am, 9am, 10am, right up to 3pm for the 8th mile. And I still had energy, so I did a lap of honour too. 9 Hours, 9 miles, 9 noses. And at the end, through wear and tear, I had a red nose of my own to mark my efforts.”
Well done Michael, the total raised so far is £90, if you would like to donate please click here.
