Sanford House celebrate CQC results
The team at Sanford House care home in Dereham were celebrating this week as they received top marks in their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
A number of areas of the care provided at the home were inspected including the care and welfare of residents and respecting and involving people.
The purpose built property, which is located on Swanton Road and part of the family-owned Caring Homes Group, has achieved the highest possible levels of compliance having met the required standards in each of the above areas.
As part of the process, CQC inspectors spoke to residents, relatives and members of staff. The home demonstrated full compliance in all areas with special mention made of the meal choices and calm atmosphere around the home.
Home Manager, Joan Auton praised the team effort behind the positive results:
‘I am so pleased that the efforts of my team have been recognised through this report. We have a tight knit team here at Sanford House and we work hard to provide the best possible care for our residents.’
Located at the heart of Dereham, Sanford House is a modern purpose-built care home providing nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 40 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
