Second Round of Vaccines at Laverstock
Residents and staff at Laverstock in Salisbury received their second vaccine dose last week. The Astra Zeneca vaccine was administered by Salisbury Medical Practice and the residents and staff welcomed the move forward to helping prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Home Manager Phil Chapman said “we would like to thank Salisbury Medical Practice and the team for coming in to make this possible and our team here at Laverstock for their dedication and commitment to ensuring the residents in our care remain protected.”
This follows the good news that residents are now able to have two named visitors, in addition to an essential caregiver. “Whilst this is positive news and a move in the right direction, it is important that we continue to protect our staff and residents and ask everyone visiting or working at Laverstock to continue to wear face coverings and PPE when in close contact with our residents”, added Phil .
At Caring Homes we're doing everything we can to keep our residents, their families and our colleagues safe. Following the most recent changes in Government guidance we continue to ensure our own guidance aligns to the same. Where we believe national guidance is subjective or not robust to maintain the safety and wellbeing of our staff and residents, we will add protocols to national guidance to help to quell the impact of Covid-19.
