The Platinum Jubilee at Parris Lawn
Residents and their families at Parris Lawn Care Home celebrated our longest serving monarch in style by throwing a party. The home was decorated for the occasion in patriotic red, white and blue. There were flags and bunting in honour of Her Majesty.
We would like to send our thanks and love to all our amazing residents and their beautiful families. Without you our party would not have been possible, and we cannot express the levels of joy and emotion we felt having you there standing side by side with our teams.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
Once again, Mariya and her team of wonderful chefs absolutely blew our minds by producing a feast fit for a Queen! The compliments from our visitors were so nice and so genuine. Three or four generations of family members with nothing but great things to say about our catering team. We are very lucky to have you all.
A big thank you to our entertainer for the party - Dave Collins, who always has us all on our feet with his brilliant act. Music for all ages with a touch of comedy too! You never let us down.
Home Manager, Jackie said of the event “I’m so proud of my colleagues for the weeks of planning and effort that went into making sure her majesty’s party was a success. Every single one of you should be proud of yourselves too because this really was a team effort! One dream made real by one team.
“Being able to interact once again with all of the people we love was such a massive moment for us all. So many memories made with so many fantastic people. We have all been waiting for a day like this. Some normality after really tough times and I don’t think any of us will take it for granted”.
