Themed afternoons at Horsell lodge
The residents at Horsell Lodge Care Home have been enjoying some themed afternoons accompanied by delicious food. They have had a taste of Mexico, where the team decorated the home for the occasion to get everyone into the fiesta mood. Head Chef Matt prepared a range of Mexican dishes which the residents loved including homemade nachos with salsa and guacamole as well as the all time favourite chicken fajitas. The team and residents also got into the Mexican spirit wearing brightly coloured ponchos and sombrero's, some of the team also added some decoration to their face masks with large mustaches.
They also got to enjoy a wine and cheese afternoon where they got to sample a selection of wines, crackers and a variety of cheeses including brie, cheddar, red leicester and stilton. The delicious food was accompanied by lovely sounds of the Lantern Voices group, which added to the atmosphere.
