Treasured Memories at Blenheim Court

It’s fun to reminisce the past and the residents and team at Blenheim Court Care Home got the local community involved and took part in the Caring Homes Treasured Memories project. It was a chance to preserve their words of wisdom and memories for future generations to find, by putting together a time capsule and placing it in the grounds at the home.

Everyone got the opportunity to put special items into the capsule, there were a wide range of items included, from newsletters from the home to show what they have been up to, to artwork from some of the residents and photographs. Once everything was in the capsule this was then buried in the gardens of the home for future residents and staff at the home to find.

Home Manager Sam Booty said, “Our residents enjoyed writing their letters and finding their photos and items to put into the capsule. It is lovely to know that future residents and staff at the home will get the chance to see our treasured memories.”
