Treasured Memories at Whittington House
It’s fun to reminisce the past and the residents and team at Whittington House got the local community and a local Councillor involved in the Caring Homes Treasured Memories project. It was a chance to preserve their words of wisdom and memories for future generations to find, by putting together a time capsule and placing it in the grounds at the home.
Councillor Mike Collins – Benhall and the Reddings, joined us on the day to help plant the time capsule and spent time meeting and chatting with our residents during the event. There was an assortment of items sealed in the time capsule, which were given to us by Benhall Pre School, our residents and Councillor Mike Collins.
Home Manager said, “This time capsule is a good way to reminisce about the past and all the good that happened. Our residents had fun getting involved in this project and working with the Benhall Pre School."
