Vaccinations at The Orchard

6th January 2021

At The Orchard in St Albans the residents and team have received their first dose of the vaccine, with everyone seeing it as a way to protect themselves and others.

At Caring Homes we see the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccines as essential in the fight against the virus and are encouraging all our colleagues and residents to have the vaccine when it is made available to them unless there is a medical reason why they should not.

Our teams and our residents have been some of the first in the queue to receive the vaccine and have all been told about the process and given the opportunity to discuss any reservations they may have.

Clinical Director Frank Cummins said, “The vaccination is one of the main tools in our fight to stop a pandemic which has had such a devastating and disastrous effect on the entire world.

“It protects the individual and those around them so it is vital as many people as possible take up the offer.”
