VE Day celebrations at Blenheim Court

On May 8th we had our wonderful 75 anniversary of VE day celebration at Blenheim Court in Liss. The home was 'patriotically' decorated throughout with red, white & blue flags, posters and ribbons everywhere. We arranged a beautiful meal for the residents and had 40's period music playing during the day. Dame Vera Lynn, Glenn Miller and others were all present, musically.
This set the scene for a lovely day of fun and nostalgia. As all the best comedians say 'nostalgia, it’s not what it used to be' well here at Blenheim Court it was exactly how it used to be. That special day, 75 years ago, was remembered and celebrated, with memories flooding back of this momentous day of freedom.
