'Wear it Pink' Day at Parris Lawn

The residents and team at Parris Lawn Care Home enjoyed celebrating 'Wear it Pink' day and raising money for a worthwhile cause. After weeks of planning, fundraising and anticipation, the big day finally came and it lived up to the excitement just like we all knew it would.

Everyone at the home came together for two wonderful reasons. One of those reasons was to raise money for such an important and fantastic charity. Breast Cancer Now, it has been a pleasure doing our bit for you. The other reason was to give our residents a pink party that would really make their day and they were not disappointed.

We could not have done this alone and we have to give the biggest thank you to our partners throughout this experience. To the ladies at Beautifix, you have been so amazing and have gone above and beyond our wildest expectations literally standing side by side with us every step of the way.

Through raffling off their 'Pink Pamper Beautifix Hamper', they raised a stunning £269.44 and with Parris Lawn raising a sensational £220 through their just giving page, we have a grand total of £489.44 on its way to our chosen charity!

While the funds were being raised our residents were dancing the afternoon away. Everyone dressed in pink to celebrate the importance of the day with our pink decorations beautifully handmade by our Head of Wellbeing and our Head of Housekeeping Carole and Sharon, not to forget our tasty pink cakes made by our team of fantastic chefs, served by our Home Manager herself. All as one, all together, one big family at Parris Lawn. Our aim is always to keep the entertainment and activities fresh and vibrant but as our team will tell you, it is us who end up with the biggest smiles on our faces because of what our loving residents bring to our lives.
