A Spooktacular Party at Whittington House
2nd November 2017
At Whittington House Nursing Home in Cheltenham, we held our annual 'Spooktacular' Halloween party on Tuesday October 31st for our residents, relatives and guests. With this event we decided to get the party into full swing and decided not to 'trick, but to treat' our residents with a themed party and get everyone into the 'spirit'. The party was held in the early evening and we went to (ghost) town decorating the room with pumpkin lanterns, glow in the dark skeletons, cobwebs, bats and other Halloween paraphernalia. Throughout the night gruesome party snacks and potions went down a treat. We were delighted when some of our residents and relatives came dressed for the occasion and many were more than happy to don a witch’s hat, cat mask, glow in the dark jewellery or have their faces painted. Our residents enjoyed playing games such as Twister, Balloon Game and musical statues. The games had our residents, relatives and our team all 'in stitches' and entertained and laughing throughout the evening. Prizes were awarded for the best dressed male and female resident and prizes for game winners. It was a an 'enchanting' evening and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and be 'thrilled' at the fun.Whittington House Nursing Home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire is a modern, purpose-built home and provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 66 people. If you would like to find out more about life at Whittington House, or would like to speak to a member of our team, please contact us on 0808 223 5396 or [email protected].
