Whittington House Viva la Vida

Whittington House Nursing Home in Cheltenham hosted another of their fabulous “Food from around the world” feasts. The destination for this visit was Spain and all the rooms were decorated with flags and Spanish art, all supplied by the art club.The activities coordinators were dressed as Spanish senoritas and served wine to accompany the Spanish themed lunch menu.Lunchtime dishes included Chicken Paella and the residents favourite, Meat Balls in a creamy pepper sauce. The fruity Catalan Custard dessert was a new taste sensation for many residents and it was warmly appreciated by everyone.During the afternoon Spanish music was played. The residents and relatives shook their maracas as they sang and clapped along to the music. The afternoon was rounded off with a Spanish themed Quiz.
