Wonderful Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Benson House Care Home
Residents and their families at Benson House Care Home celebrated our longest serving monarch in style with a wonderful afternoon tea. The home was decorated for the occasion with patriotic Union Jack flags and bunting, along with red, white and blue decorations in honour of Her Majesty.
Leading up to the celebrations the team at the home and the residents had been busy decorating the home for the big day, with the residents enjoying some arts and crafts to make decorations and items for display.
The jubilee celebrations was a chance to get everyone together in the gardens at the home to enjoy the wonderful weather and mark such a special occasion. The hospitality team put on a fantastic afternoon tea with a range of sandwiches and sweet treats including scones, as well as refreshments. A family member who was at the event said "What a wonderful afternoon it was!".
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth. To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events have been taking place across the country and everyone thoroughly enjoyed being part of those celebrations at Benson House.
