World Book Day at The Orchard

Last week The Orchard Nursing Home got involved and celebrated World Book Day, a day for peoples imaginations to run wild and get their nose stuck into a good book! The wellbeing team dressed up as their favourite characters, to put a smile on the residents faces. The characters included, Mary Poppins, the Cheshire Cat and the Witch from “room on the broom”

Vicky – Senior Wellbeing Coordinator brough in her cat Nala who was dressed up as Wonder Woman, she certainly stole the show. The residents them spent the afternoon in great discussion about some good books they’ve read over the years and reminisced about the 1950’s, before technology changed what and how we read.
