Day Care
What is day care at a care home?
Day care gives people the opportunity to socialise with friends and engage in a range of planned activities, while their family carers have the peace of mind of knowing their loved ones are safe and cared for. At many of our homes we provide older people with both practical assistance and a chance to enjoy social interaction with support.
What are the benefit of elderly day care?
As you step inside our homes, there's a warm welcome, comfortable lounges, activity rooms, hair salons and many home have their own bistro full of homemade cakes and freshly brewed coffee. Explore quiet nooks with comfy armchairs, classic novels and books on the shelves. To keep the mind sharp you’ll find board games, cards and puzzles. Well-stocked arts and crafts rooms are the perfect space to spread out and create.
Day care offers a friendly and stimulating home-away-from-home, for people who are still living at home and may need some additional care and support during the day. Many of our homes provide personal care for people with dementia, physical frailty or simply those who want a more active social environment.
