Interactive Window Box added at Mellish House
Mellish House Care Home in Sudbury have added a new interactive activity window box onto one of their walls.
A couple of the residents, along with Glenda the home’s Activity Coordinator and Ron the SMO (Site Maintenance Operative), worked together to get the project completed. Ron made the frame and window box, while Glenda painted the scene featuring a cat and vase of tulips. Followed by some stenciling by Grace and Josephine putting the final touches to it by arranging the silk flowers.
The idea to make it an interactive display means that residents can pick the flowers and rearrange them and is a lovely way to add some interest to a plain wall. Well done to the team involved!
Mellish House Care Home is a purpose-built home providing residential care for up to 48 elderly residents living with a form of dementia.
