Return of the Donkeys to Sanford House
At Sanford House Nursing Home in East Dereham, our residents were delighted to welcome back some very popular visitors, Mini Donks, an organisation that brings gentle and friendly miniature donkeys to care homes to promote well-being.
Following their popular visit to our home in December, our residents asked if they could come back and here at Sanford House, we are only too happy to oblige.
With much anticipation, our residents and team eagerly welcomed them into our home and the mini donkeys spent time in the lounge being introduced to our residents, relatives and visitors, where they received lots of attention and petting. Then they went from room to room to meet everyone else. This time, they also grazed in our garden so they also helped us keep the grass down!
Our animal loving residents were thrilled to get up close and personal and they even won over those residents, who although they say they are not animal lovers, couldn’t resist them either…
We know they’re sure to be back judging from the response and the great comments we received.
