The Orchard Nursing Home Wins Top Award
Vicky Ashby of The Orchard Nursing Home, St Albans, is celebrating after winning a Caring Homes Group ‘Recognition Award’.
Vicky won the Fulfilling Lives Award, sponsored by Orchard Interiors Ltd, for launching a range of new activities to the home such as card making, knitting and reminiscence groups; she has also built strong links with the local community, resulting in fun weekly visits from a mother and toddler group.
The award was announced by one of the original professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing; producer and entertainer, Brendan Cole, at a gala ceremony on 14th June at the Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire.
Caring Homes Group is celebrating its 25th year in the care sector and was founded in 1994 by Helena Jeffery and her son Paul, on an aspiration to provide a caring home for each resident and a desire to provide everyone with the opportunity to continue to live life to the full through better quality, care and support. The company is still family-run and has proudly been the winner of many industry and regional awards over the years.
